Assistant Controller

Job Description
County Propane is a trusted, privately owned and operated top Solutions Provider for over 35 years, and is hiring for an Assistant Controller, to work in Downingtown. We are looking for a self-starter and highly detailed professional who practices discretion in all company matters and enjoys working with a growth-oriented company. We need someone who can meet deadlines and enjoys wearing a few different hats at a time, especially during peak seasons.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related discipline

· 5 or more years of professional hands-on accounting experience

· Ability to learn new accounting software quickly

· Experience preparing financial statements, sales reports

· Broad-based knowledge of all areas of accounting and financial reporting

· Excellent skills in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook

· Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal correspondence

· Have the ability to streamline processes or move initiatives forward

· Have the ability to work in an environment that involves multiple projects

· Strong analytical skills and strict attention to detail

The Assistant Controller will perform the following key functions:

· Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple companies

· Prepare sales reports

· Tracking and reporting of inventory

· Reconcile checking accounts

· Assist the Controller with planning and coordination of the year-end financial review, including preparation of financial work papers

· Recommend accounting policies, internal controls, and improvements to related jobs that will expedite or improve efficiencies of the companies, and upon approval of Controller, implement those improvements

· Assist Controller with payroll processing and HR functions as skills develop

· Additional duties as assigned

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
