What propane tank sizes are available?

One of the advantages of using a local, established propane company, like County Propane, is that we understand our customers’ needs. We’ll make sure you get the right propane tank size for your home so that it won’t require propane deliveries too frequently.

Here is a guide to propane tank sizes to give you a better idea of what you may need for your home:

propane tanks120 gallons: This tank size is ideal for households with a single small appliance running on propane gas, such as a dryer or a fireplace. We can connect four 120-pound tanks to accommodate more appliances.

250 gallons: If your home has three or more propane-powered appliances, like a water heater, a range, a fireplace, a dryer or a space heater, it might be wise to opt for a tank of this capacity.

330 gallons: This tank size is suitable for households with several propane appliances or those who use propane for water heaters and wall heaters.

500 gallons: Households using propane for whole-house heating commonly require this size, which is also the recommended size for propane whole-house standby generators.

1,000 gallons: In residential settings, this large tank is ideal for expansive estate homes utilizing propane for home heating, water heating, standby generators, and other propane-fueled appliances, especially high-Btu appliances, like pool and spa heaters. These tanks are most commonly used in commercial applications.
